BIOGRAPHY Antonio Cupo, born January 10, 1978, in Vancouver, Canada, is a Canadian actor and singer of Italian descent.
Cupo was born into a family of Italian emigrants who came to Canada in 1968. His father Manlio is from Palomonte a small town in the province of Salerno, south-western Italy and his mother Lucia from Barletta, a province of Bari. Cupo graduated in English Literature with an emphasis in Theatre at the University of British Columbia. Prior to becoming an actor, he was the lead singer of the rock band "Hybrid Cartel." He also won several national songwriting competitions in Canada.
Cupo made his acting debut in 2003 when he played the romantic leading role in the Italian TV series "Elisa di Rivombrosa", which had an average of over 10 million viewers and was the most successful Italian series in the history of Italian TV. Cupo has been working steadily ever since, starring in "The L Word," "Andromeda," "Special Unit 2," "Dark Angel," "So Weird," and "The Lizzie Mcguire Movie". View GALLERY:
