Dave Franco, born June 12, 1985, in Palo Alto, California, is an American actor, best known for playing Cole Aaronson in Season 9 of "Scrubs."

Having burst onto the scene in 2008, Franco is steadily positioning himself as one of Hollywood’s most promising young talents. He is often recognized for his role in the Funny or Die web series, Acting with James Franco. The first installment in the series, Sense Memory, is one of the most viewed videos on funnyordie.com, attracting over 120,000 views in its first month.

Franco's first role was a guest appearance on the TV series "7th Heaven" at age 21. From there, his acting career has steadily grown, with him appearing in a number of TV series including "Greek", "Do Not Disturb", "Privileged" and "Scrubs".

Upcoming film projects for Franco include the Noah Baumbach film "Greenberg", which stars Ben Stiller, and a role opposite Zac Efron in "The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud", set for release in 2010. Other films he has appeared in include "Superbad", Gus Van Sant’s "Milk" and "The Shortcut".

In addition to acting, Franco is an avid writer and has completed a number of scripts. His hobbies include jet skiing, skateboarding, anything Proust.
