BIOGRAPHY Desmond Harrington, born October 19, 1976, in Savannah, Georgia, USA, is an American actor, known for movies such as "The Hole", "Wrong Turn" and "Ghost Ship". He joined the cast of the Showtime series "Dexter" in its third season as Joey Quinn.
Though born in Savannah, Harrington moved with his family to The Bronx at the age of 3, where his mother's side of the family originates. He attended a Catholic school and eventually graduated from Fordham Preparatory School, a Jesuit high school. After high school, Harrington worked in various other occupations before pursuing acting which included working at a brokerage firm, a deli, in construction, landscaping and as a bartender -- mostly to pay for acting classes.
Harrington's first acting job came at age 23, playing Aulon in "The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc". He soon after grabbed prominent roles in films such as The Hole, Ghost Ship and Wrong Turn. Harrington also appeared in the Steven Spielberg sci-fi drama Taken, in which he played Jesse Keys, an abductee of aliens. In 2008, Harrington's joined the Showtime TV show "Dexter". In 2009, he landed a role on "Gossip Girl" playing Jack Bass. Aside from acting, Harrington also models on the side, most notably a print campaign for "GAP Jeans". View GALLERY:
