BIOGRAPHY John Francis Bregar, born on March 1, 1985, in North York, Ontario, Canada, is a Canadian actor best known for portraying gay teen Dylan Michalchuk on "Degrassi: The Next Generation".
Young, versatile, athletic and eager, Bregar is a hard-working Toronto actor with a promising career in television, film and photography. Bregar began his acting career at the age of 11, in his elementary school production of "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat." His professional acting debut was starring in the music video "Father" by Knights of the Realm. He played hockey tough guy Bobby Clarke in the dramatic TV miniseries "CanadaRussia ’72".
In 2007, Bregar became known to TV audience when he landed the role of Dylan Michalchuk, an openly gay teenager on "Degrassi: The Next Generation", he embraced the opportunity to play such a different character, showing the depth and versatility of his acting ability. His other acting credit includes "It's a Boy Girl Thing" and "Taking a Chance on Love".
