BIOGRAPHY Michael Fassbender, born April 2, 1977, in Heidelberg, Germany, is a German-born Irish actor, best known to international audiences for playing Lt. Archie Hicox in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds".
Fassbender had many minor roles in various TV shows but his first major film role was as Sergeant Burton P. Christensen in Steven Spielberg's "Band Of Brothers", which lead to parts in the BBC's "Gunpowder, Treason and Plot" as Guy Fawkes, Canadian movie "A Bear named Winnie" and "Sherlock Holmes" and the "Case of the Silk Stocking", to name but a few. Fassbender's most notable role though, is that of fallen angel Azazeal in Sky One's supernatural drama "Hex".
His other credits include playing Zack Snyder epic film "300" in which he plays Spartan soldier Stelios and the 2008 film "Hunger", in which he played Bobby Sands. View GALLERY:
