BIOGRAPHY Stéphane Rideau, born July 25, 1976 in Agen, France, is a French actor, best known for his acclaimed roles in "Les roseaux sauvages" (Wild Reeds) and "Presque rien" (Come Undone) .
Rideau intended to pursue a career in sports, but his destiny changed when he was discovered in 1992, at the age of 16, by a talent scout at a rugby game. He gave acting a try and auditioned for the role of a bisexual character in a much-acclaimed film "Les roseaux sauvages" (Wild Reeds), which won numerous awards at France's César Awards, including Most Promising Actor, Best Director and Best Film. Rideau impressed director Sébastien Lifshitz for playing gay characters so convincingly that he coaxed him to audition for another gay role in "Presque Rien" (Come Undone), which became a popular movie to gay fans.
Rideau has a long acting experience that includes the films "Loin", "Le Ventre de Juliette, "Le Clan", and "Le Cadeau d'Élena". Rideau currently lives with his girlfriend Celia and his daughter. View GALLERY:
