BIOGRAPHY Daniel MacPherson, born 25 April 1980, in Sydney, Australia, is an Australian actor.
MacPherson was educated at Sydney Boys High School, and prior to becoming an actor had been a triathlete. However, when his agent discovered him, he soon landed the role of Joel Samuels in the popular soap opera Neighbours, starting in 1998. Bearing a similarity to his real life, the blond-haired actor's character was also a budding athlete, until a knee injury. After leaving the soap in 2002, Daniel traveled to the UK to be in a British production of the musical Godspell. After that he took on the role of PC Cameron Tait in the British drama The Bill, which he played from 2003 until 2004.
More recently he went back to Australia to present the Australian version of the singing contest, The X Factor. He also hosted a three part series called Killer Sharks on Australia's Network Ten in February 2006. MacPherson is currently appearing in a British/Australian production entitled 'Tripping Over'. MacPherson has posed nude in two major magazines. One was for gay men's magazine Attitude and the Australian women's magazine Cleo.
