Bamber currently stars as Commander Lee "Apollo" Adama on the Sci Fi Channel television program Battlestar Galactica. Bamber was born in Hammersmith, London, England, UK to mother Elizabeth (Liz) and father Ralph. He received a First Class Honours Degree in Modern Languages (Italian and French) at St. John's College, Cambridge, before attending the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
At Cambridge University, England, he achieved a 1st Class MA Honours in Modern Languages. The highest you can achieve. Bamber is from a family of 7 siblings: 5 brothers (one younger and 4 older half-brothers from his father's first marriage), 1 sister.
