BIOGRAPHY Layke Anderson, born October 10, 1985 in Reading, England, is a British actor and model.
Anderson was discovered in New York by a photographer at the age of seventeen, and it was around that time that director Bryan Singer hand-picked him to play one of the new mutant x-kids in X-Men 2. By nineteen, he had been photographed by art and fashion greats, such as Greg Gorman, Bruce Weber, Steven Sebring and Pierre et Gilles, among others, renowned photographer Steven Sebring called him the new River Phoenix, while shooting for L'Uomo Vogue in Sicily.
Anderson also modelled for designers including Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gannana, Abercrombie & Fitch and Christian Dior. Forays into acting began with underground theatre roles like Rimbaud and Dorian Gray. Later, he appeared in several shorts movies, music videos and readings, working with artists such as Spike Jonze, Bjork, Jonathan Caouette, Asia Argento and Marianne Faithfull.
Anderson has acted in a number of feature films, most recently opposite Shirley MacLaine and Mischa Barton in the forthcoming epic Closing the Ring directed by Richard Attenborough. He will next be seen starring in the controversial movie House of Boys. View GALLERY:
