BIOGRAPHY Mark-Paul Gosselaar, born March 1, 1974 in Panorama, California, is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Zack Morris in a 1989 teen hit comedy series Saved by the Bell.
He was born to Dutch father Hans Gosselaar and Indonesian mother Paula Gosselaar (they are now divorced). He has an older brother Mike and older sisters Linda and Sylvia. In 1989, after a career with small movies and commericals, Gosselaar started in the teen hit "Saved by the Bell" (1989). He was romantically linked with his co-star Tiffani Thiessen who played his girlfriend and wife Kelly Kapowski, throughout the show's run.
After the show ended, he went on to star in the spin-off flop "Saved by the Bell: The College Years" (1993). There he met his now wife Lisa Ann Russell. They married in 1996 in Maui, Hawaii. They have a son named Michael Charles, born 2004. In late 2005, he joined the cast of ABC's Commander in Chief, starring Geena Davis, which has been put on hiatus.
