BIOGRAPHY Felix Sturm, born January 31, 1979, in Leverkusen, West Germany, is a German boxer and current WBA middleweight world champion (as of 2011) of Bosnian descent.
Sturm was born and raised in Leverkusen, Germany, but both of his parents were immigrants from Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In January 2001, Sturm made his debut as a professional boxer facing Antonio Ribeiro from Angola. After 16 successful matches, Sturm won the WBO Inter-Continental middleweight title on 10 May 2003.
In 2010, Sturm defended his WBA title against Giovanni Lorenzo, with the winner becoming the WBA Super champion. Sturm defeated Lorenzo by a twelve round unanimous decision with the judges. In June 2011, Sturm he defended his title once again against Matthew Macklin. As of 2011, Sturm won 36 of his 39 career fights, 15 by KO, with only 2 losses, and one draw. View GALLERY:
