BIOGRAPHY Justin Spring, born March 11, 1984, in Houston, Texas, is an American gymnast. He is a member of the bronze medal winning U.S. team at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
Spring grew up in Burke, Virginia. He graduated from Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, VA in 2002. As a senior, Spring won the Nissen-Emery Award and was named the Big 10 Gymnast of the Year. He says his teammates had the most influence on his athletic career because they always kept him motivated.
During his gymnastic career, Spring garnered three Big Ten Championships with titles on parallel bars and all-around in 2006 and on the floor exercise in 2004 and most notably, won bronze medal with the U.S. team at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Spring is an assistant coach at the University of Illinois and after the 2008 Olympic Games, he plans on taking graduate courses at Illinois while continuing to train and coach.
In his free time, Spring likes to ride his motorcycle and enjoys hosting cookouts for his friends. View GALLERY:
