BIOGRAPHY Urijah Faber aka "The California Kid", born May 14, 1979, in Isla Vista, California, USA, is an American mixed martial artist, fighting as a bantamweight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship organization.
Faber grew up in Lincoln, a quiet suburb outside Sacramento. He graduated from the University of California at Davis with a degree in human development. While at Davis, he was a two time NCAA Division I qualifier at 133 lbs in wrestling. Faber made his professional MMA debut in 2003 at age 24 as part of the Gladiator Challenge promotion. A few years later, he won the WEC featherweight championship at WEC 19 on March 17, 2006 and held the title for over two years.
As of 2011, Faber was ranked the #4 featherweight in the world. His "Pro" career has gone from strength to strength, of his twenty-nine fights, he's had twenty-five wins, with 7 knockouts. View GALLERY:
