Marios Lekkas

Marios Lekkas, born April 5, 1979, in Athens, Greece on April 5, 1979, is a Greek model.

Lekkas stumbled into modeling by chance, at the age of 23, when someone spotted him and suggested it to him. At the beginning it was part-time work and, gradually, he has ended up having so much work that he hardly has time for anything else.

Lekkas has appeared in many Greek and international fashion magazines and events. He's walked the runway for Frankie Morello, Gazzarini, Giorgio Armani and Versace and has been the face for at least three fragrance campaigns in the past six years of his career: Bvlgari, Max Factor and Ungaro Man.

Lekkas admits that a model's physique plays a key role in the ease with which they transform themselves at each shoot; however, the end result is the product of teamwork.

Said Lekkas, "Behind a model there are a lot of people involved. The stylist, the makeup artist, the photographer, above all - and it is up to him to make something different out of you. All the model has to do is follow the concept, what they have in mind. If the result is not up to expectations, it's not the mistake of a single person.

"Those who know about photography can understand how models who might not be anything special, can take on a magical dimension in front of the camera. Because at that stage, reality is overcome and you are no longer the person you are in your everyday life."
