BIOGRAPHY Thad Mills, born on March 1, 1982 in Juneau, Alaska, is a carpenter, best known for his work in the reality television series, "Trading Spaces."
Mills comes from a military background having joined the Army guard as an infantryman after he graduated high school. While serving in the Army National Guard in Alaska, he joined the Carpenter's union at 19. Going through their 4 year, 8,000 hour program at the Southern Alaskan Carpenters Training Center where the building blocks of his carpentry career were established. Work brought Mills to Anchorage soon after where he started modeling on the side for Laura Model and Talent Agency. Traveling to Orlando FL, for AMTC to compete in different modeling and acting events, he met his casting agent John Shea from Frontier Booking International who helped him snag his big role in 2007 as the carpenter for TLC's hit reality show, "Trading Spaces."
Mills' favorite work has been all the side jobs he's taken for family and friends doing saunas, kitchens, creative woodworking and remodeling.
