BIOGRAPHY Blake McGrath, born November 21, 1983, in Mississauga, Ontario, is a Canadian professional dancer, best known for being one of the contestants in the first season of FOX's dance competition, "So You Think You Can Dance."
At the age of twenty-one, McGrath had already danced with stars such as Madonna, Britney Spears, Ashanti, Destiny's Child, P!nk, Craig David, and Jewel. He has appeared in Gap campaigns (with Sarah Jessica Parker), and in advertisements for iPod, Old Navy (which he also choreographed), Hummer, and Janet Jackson. In 2001, McGrath was chosen to perform on Michael Jackson's thirtieth anniversary special.
In 2004, McGrath performed alongside Paulina Rubio at the 2004 Latin Grammy Awards. In addition, McGrath appeared in the 2007 reality TV show "Dance Life" produced by Jennifer Lopez, and also graced the pages of several magazines such as the cover of Hotshoes and Dance Spirit Magazine December 2006 issue. McGrath's film credits include the Oscar award winner "Chicago" and the 2005 movie musical, "Rent."
McGrath is now branching out as an entertainer. He is choreogaphing more and more in addition to acting and singing. He continues to travel the glob, teaching Master Class workshops to inspire children through the art of dance. Official site: www.blakemcgrath.com View GALLERY:
