David Costa

Hi, everyone! My name is David Costa. I am currently doing my master’s degree in physical training at the University of Burgundy in Dijon, France. Last year, I obtained the French State diploma (Brevet d’Etat) of fitness and strength trainer.

Parallel to my studies, I work as a fitness instructor and I am training a race pilot competing in the Porsche Matmut Carrera Cup French championship. I am also coaching several people to help them get back in shape or gain/lose weight. My other passion is salsa dancing.

I was born in 1985 in Paray le Monial, France. Ever since I was a child, I have never stopped practicing sports: football (soccer), roller-skating, swimming, tennis, cross country and cycling. I have practiced weight training and fitness for 4 years now.

I spend all my energy in the gym in order to be in excellent shape and sculpt my body which is my main working tool. Fitness and salsa enable me to associate body beauty and movement execution with some kind of a sensual touch, highly appreciated in salsa dancing. I have always felt the need to stand out and get familiar with different worlds which can sometimes be completely opposed.

I started modelling in 2007. This activity highlights my passion for the body. Just like for my job, I have to always be on top of my physical condition in order to obtain the best results on pictures. I have worked with notorious photographers such as Fred Goudon (Dieux du stade calendar 2006), Mark Leighton, JC Genisset, Samazzaro, Olivier Gilbert.

After I graduate, I wish to go on getting experience in physical training, fitness instructing and modelling. I have also contemplated the idea of getting a diploma in teaching salsa dancing.
