Hi! My name is Chris Kelly, I am 19 years old and from sunny Lakeland, Florida. Though I am from a small town, I have long been possessed by a curiosity about the world outside of my immediate reality. My parents have always been avid travelers, and I count myself lucky to have visited each of the world’s continents by the age of 10. Through my travels and in viewing such diversity, I developed a passion for exploring the unknown, and in general, a pursuit of knowledge by which I have profited greatly. These travels have also introduced me to all varieties of people, and has led me to become fascinated with human nature, always observing human interaction in hopes of better understanding myself and the world around me.

While on a trip to England at the age of 8, I attended a sporting event which changed my life. My parent’s friends in London were enormous Tottenham hotspur fans, and arranged for us to attend a derby game between Tottenham and local rivals, Arsenal. The atmosphere at the match was like nothing I had ever experienced, and the sheer excitement given off by the crowd ignited in me a passion which still burns brightly today. From that moment forth I was a soccer player, and have since gone on to represent the Florida ODP State team for several years, as well as receiving numerous scholarship offers from around the southeast before unfortunately injuring my knee.

After my injury, I found myself for the first time without a pursuit to follow. That all changed one night at a club, where after a long night of dancing, I was approached by a photographer, who asked me to shoot for a photobook. By sheer amusement, I called him a few weeks later and we set up a date for the photoshoot. At first I was quite nervous and felt awkward, but the photographer was really easy to work with and convinced me to have fun with the experience. After viewing the prints and the tearsheets, I was sold on the process and began to educate myself on the subject of modeling. Over the next year, I built my portfolio through Trade for Prints, and paid work which has taken me to New York, Los Angeles, and Canada. I have been lucky enough to work with several talented up and coming photographers, and have recently signed with several agencies. I feel modeling and acting go hand in hand with my desire to become a journalist, and in turn, continue to see the world. Additionally I view modeling as an ideal way to acclimate myself with the demands of media in my future career.
