Michaelangelo

For those of you that are dubious, yes my first name really is Michaelangelo. I was born in a hospital in Smithtown in 1985 and at the time lived in Bayside, Queens of New York. Since then I have lived in close to 15 different established residences in New York State. Sadly when I was seven and a half, my parents were divorced due to irreconcilable differences. My mom, who was awarded custody of my two younger brothers Joseph and Thomas, moved outside of New York State and eventually settled in Arizona. My father, who was awarded custody of me, moved to Long Island, New York. I attended many different schools in my younger years. By the time I was in 8th grade, I had switched too and attended more than 9 different schools both public and private. My father remarried and divorced again, as did my mother.

In 2000, I moved out of my house and lived on my own and with friends until I graduated high school in 2003. From there, I applied and got accepted to many different colleges and universities. Maintaining an A- average along with a vast array of extra curricular activities, advanced placement classes, and four strait years of not missing a single season in sports gave me a competitive edge over some students with a higher GPA. The determining factor for me however was money. I could only go to a school that I could afford to go too, and ended up choosing my “safety school” which happened to be Albany University. I decided that I wanted to be in the medical field when I graduated and would study the “pre-med” curriculum of Biology and Chemistry at the University. My dream of having the knowledge and ability to help other people would depend on my above average completion of the four year program here at Albany and so far I am proud to say I am doing just that.

In 2004, I started to spend all of my spare time hitting the gym and staying active since I no longer had time to do sports for my school with such a demanding academic schedule. After about 6 months of strength and cardio training, I was maintaining a very healthy and athletic build and I was getting compliments left and right. The thought of modeling crossed my mind after I was confronted by several people including a handful of accredited photographers and some talent agency scouts. I began modeling in the fall of 2005 and quickly gained fame through some publications and the internet. Since then I have been devoting my time to both modeling and my studies, and also finding time for part-time jobs to help pay for school, volunteer service at the local hospital, and a slue of extra curricular activities and group memberships here at Albany University.

As of now, I have 1 year left until completion of a Bachelors degree in Science and then from there I plan on getting my Masters in Public Health (MPH) and then continuing on to Medical School.
