HOT ALERT: Mike Vogel, Channing Tatum

Rich teen Allison (Anne Hathaway) is bored of affecting a street attitude with her wigger boyfriend (Mike Vogel) in the safety of her affluent LA suburb. So she goes slumming downtown. Flirting with Hispanic gangbanger Hector (Freddy Rodríguez) she’s thrilled by the danger of ‘real’ life – but can she handle everything it has to offer?

This is a story of two wealthy teenage girls living in Los Angeles who decide to imitate the "gangsta lifestyle." Their hip hop fantasies are quickly derailed when they encounter real Latino gang members in East L.A.

This film is filled with sex, expletives, and at times over-the-top portrayals of young people in Los Angeles. The film is a real pleasant surprise! The acting, specifically by Hathaway is very good and the story (two girls lost in a world of rich nothingness try to find their reality), though nothing revolutionary, is very enjoyable and engaging.

Toby (played by handsome Mike Vogel) who is Hathaway's boyfriend, plays his part spot-on. Plus, my crush Channing Tatum is also in this movie playing a small role as a friend of Toby.

Though sporadically parts of the screenplay border on cliché, the film overall doesn't strive to be deeper than it is, and, in the end, tells a very good story.
