BIOGRAPHY Ben Adams, born November 22, 1981, in Middlesex, UK, is a British pop singer and songwriter, and was a member of the British boyband, A1.
Adams was raised single-handedly by his mum, Anita. He attended Bedales School which he left after his GCSEs at 16 to join Charterhouse School before switching to Westminster Under School, where he was head chorister of the school choir and of St. Margaret's Choir of Westminster Abbey, after winning a scholarship. In 2002, after winning a BRIT Award and having two Number one singles, A1 began to decline from the public eye, and came to a natural end.
A few years later, Adams made a comeback with a new solo recording contract. His first solo single, "Sorry", reached #18 on the UK Singles Chart in June 2005. As well as writing for himself, Adams has turned his attention to writing and producing for other artists, some already established and a handful of up and coming acts both here and in the US. He co-wrote the Lisa Scott-Lee single "Electric"; and a song called "Get Off My Girl" with Har Mar Superstar. Adams has his own recording studio situated in Battersea Park called Parkbench Studios. He is currently the creative director behind a new band, project name Girl Band 2007.
Adams has a scar above his right eyebrow when he hit his head on a coffee table when he was younger. He is influenced by Michael Jackson and Tracy Chapman. View GALLERY:
