BIOGRAPHY When boy band manager Lou Pearlman failed with acts such as *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys because of legal issues, he decided it was worth trying one more time. Lou Peralman teamed up with ABC to make a brand new reality television show about a talent search for the next big pop sensation.
Thousands of applicants tried out for the show, but only few were chosen
to live in a house and be trained to possibly be the new boy band. The
guys went through vocal lessons, along with dance lessons, and learned
about the music industry. The final five guys chosen by Lou Pearlman to be his newest sensation were Ashley Angel, Trevor Penick, Jacob Underwood, Erik Estrada, and Ikaika Kahoano. All of them were from completely different backgrounds, but all shared a similar dream, to make music and share it with the world.
Jacob Underwood is a native of San Diego. He was born April 25, 1980 and grew up taking guitar and taking an interest in theater. He is a strong singer and songwriter and brings intensity to the band. View GALLERY:
